"If Josh were a gift..."
So Jesse and I just got back from a birthday party of a girl who attends our school!
I'm not gonna lie, I don't really know her, but she told Jesse that he could take friends, so it was all good! So we took off from the school, confident about our supposedly 20 minute trip with directions from google maps guiding our way!
We seemed to be doing pretty well until we noticed 3 of the streets, that the map said we were supposed to turn on, fly past!
We were a little worried about this because we did not turn, but apparently we were still on track!
This went on for a while until we realized that we could not afford to be lost (gas prices and all)! Jesse called the house of the 'aged' and asked her how he could get there from where we are. She then preceded to give the phone to her little sister (who Jesse thought was her mother) and she gave us the right directions (The google map was right! It was just taking us all the way around the city as opposed to right through it and to it. Which is typically the way I like things done.).
So we get to the house and Jesse and I are the only ones from the school! There were a decent amount of people, most of which looked like sophomores in high-school. So we found the people at the party closest to our age and ate a delicious array of assorted food with them! Not gonna lie, the food at the party compared to our lunch, felt like we just returned to the holy land after being in Somalia after their civil war. If you don't know what I'm talking about, watch Black Hawk Down and you'll be right back on track with me. I'm not trying to be dramatic or anything! It's just the way it was. Anyway, after we ate, the group of us then proceeded to the Billiard hall which was really just a small room with a pool table in it, and began to "chill" while drinking Canada Dry. Over all, I'd say our night went pretty well! Despite the initial awkwardness of being at another high-school party.
P.S. There is a guy sitting next to me eating a bowl of Pops. I'm jealous.
