Photographer of the Week

Mat Pirolo

"I'm getting more and more into portraits but definitely enjoy Scenery and just everyday life. I hope to grow as a Photographer and encourage any criticism you might have for me. I remember watching my sister develop her pictures from the AE-1 (that same one that I started with). That is when I realized that I wanted to be a photographer"

"Where babies come from"

Okay, so one day I was on myspace and this girl posted a buliten that said she wanted some one to tell her a story about where babies come from, but she wanted it to be creative. And this is what happened...

"To make a baby you need a sperm cell and an egg cell. The sperm cell, "Jimmy," comes from the daddy and the egg cell, "Katie," comes from the mommy. When Jimmy and Katie meet, they make a tiny baby that is smaller than a grain of salt. The baby grows in the mommy's tummy for nine months. During this nine months, a magical unicorn comes in and trains the baby up for the real world (Everybody always thinks it’s the parents that do the raising, but there wrong, it’s the magical unicorn). The magical unicorn teaches the baby how to speak, eat, read, teach, fish, and even how to properly re-create a well established Access bond (A type of mortgage that permits borrowers to take out loans against extra capital paid into the account, home-loan interest rates being lower than interest rates on other forms of credit). This conditioning can be extremely tedious and cause the baby stress and anger, thus making the child punch and kick at what ever it can. But the magical unicorn knows how to calm the child, after all, unicorns know best. After the child is ready for the real world, the unicorn jumps on the umbilical chord and flies to the child’s heart where he can be with the new human forever."

Church in the park

So maybe this should have been about 2 or 3 blogs, but you can handle it.
We had our Fresh Life Sunday's Service in the park today. A lot of preparation had to go into this. If you didn’t already know, you can’t just go into a park and set up your kingdom like you own the place, because generally you don’t. You have to go through the city and ask if its okay to use their park on this day at this time. And this really sucks if you take things way to literally all the time. Trying to go through the city isn’t an easy thing, not to mention, a city is an inanimate object. It’s kind of hard asking things to use their parks. But you’re not like that, are you? So we talked to the city (I wasn’t actually there, but I was part of the group that wanted the park therefore I have stated that “we” in that part of the sentence) and had the park reserved for the time we needed it. We visited the park a few times just to get a general lay out and figure out where things were going to go. I talked about one of these miraculous voyages in a previous blog, “Were on a mission from God.” All seemed to made in the shade! This is good, because that’s where we wanted it to be. It would get way to hot for the people to be in the sun that whole time. However we did discover one problem during our miniature shindigs. Sprinklers. Every time they would turn on, they would create a swamp-like environment, leaving the ground muddy and puddled. They soaked the benches, electrical outlets and the gazebo in which the band and Levi would open the door to the gospel. Needless to say, we didn’t want people to being electrocuted. Think of how many less people would be at Fresh Life Church the following Sunday! Again, Eric and Levi spoke with the city and they assured us the our problem would be taken care of.
So our day came around and we were up at 6 --. The day was beautiful, we couldn’t have prayed for a better one. So we loaded up and headed to the church to get things ready for the upcoming service.
We drove up, and to our dismay, the sprinklers were also up and spraying their hellish waves of acidic/swamifying water. Slightly bummed, we decided to set up what we could. Only the outside borders of the park were being watered. So we removed all the sound equipment with the tables and drinks (the drinks were for a bbq that we were having for anyone who wanted to come after the service) from the trucks. As we stared to set up, all the sprinklers went off that were in the middle. All of the equipment was out in the middle so we ran frantically with our manly muscles moving everything to the center of the gazebo so it wouldn’t be damaged. Some of the sprinklers were actually shooting water onto the stage, so we went to block their vicious attacks. Jesse, with the common sense in his head, used one of the benches that was at the park to flip over the top of the sprinkler so it would stop spraying everything. I, on the other hand, made a pyramid shaped barrier out of about 8 sprite cans blocking the area of the stage form the sprinklers harmful rays of death. As this intense battle raged on, we saw Eric in the background walk over to a hedge of bushes and take out a plug in the wall, and the water mocked no more.
After a while, everything got to where it should be. In the shade. We discussed this earlier. The service was beautiful. Some people who were running stayed for the service and all the people of the church came to celebrate this day with us. And after tons of labor our efforts were found fruitful, and our women beautiful. Good night, and stay classy.

Were on a mission from God.

This mourning started off bright and early so that we could attend the men’s prayer meeting at Fresh Life, which they have in the weekly. We were up at 6 -- because we had to be at the church at 7. Luckily, we live no farther than a whistle blows. When our 2 minuet voyage had come to an end, we found that 3 of the men that would attend this meeting were patiently waiting outside of the church for the coming of Coy.
Ecstatic, they arose to their manly feet to greet me as I was the first of our crew to the door.
During the meeting, Levi announced, to those who were faithful, that we would be starting another service on Sunday mornings because of the undeniable fact that the church is breaking the law weekly, which would put Sunday morning services at 2. The men were overjoyed to hear of the great news! One of the men, whose name will be changed for protection purposes, James Earlbread, stated that this was a wonderful problem to have. If all we have to worry about is the church growing, then we don’t have much to worry about! Unless of coarse were breaking the law…
After the meeting, Devan, Coy, Eric, Jesse, Levi and I proceeded to the park, where next Sunday’s service would be to scout out the area for the purpose of Feng Shui (an ancient Chinese practice of placement). We couldn’t be stopped.
On an unrelated note, we also visited a Veterans Memorial honoring those soldiers from Montana who had fallen in battle from several different wars. If you’ve been praying for our current troops, keep doing it! If you haven’t, start.

Ultimate Nirvana

Coy just got dish network which means he now has over 5 channels of ESPN now. After sitting in contentment for quite some time, Coy said that he was quitting his job at fresh life and staying at home to watch nothing but sports. Seeing as how there is currently no youth pastor at fresh life, I publicly elect myself to proclaim the gospel to the rows of middle and high school students. We’ll see how that turns out.

Coco Time

Thats right! So far, since Ive been here, Ive had a cup of hot chocolate before as well as after service every week. Clears out the throat, boosts self esteem and gets of ready for any challenge that heads in my direction, yeah momma this surely is a dream. Dig it. I couldnt tell you really why I do this, but let me assure you, it is by all means necessary.

And thus it began.

Levi started off the competition by being the first to run down the aisle and slide after the 5th square. I had a full cart, so it bogged me down a bit.

Day at the pier

Today we went to pier 1 to buy some candles needed for the ambiance of church. We ended up buying about 300 dollars worth of candles that were on sale. Needless to say, we looked kind of strange with 3 baskets full of candles. As I was talking to the woman who was gradually ringing up our stuff while the others were looking for more, she asked why we were getting so many candles. Well since I was the only one talking to her, I didn’t really know how to explain it. Casually, I stated that my step brother had started a church called Fresh Life... "...and he likes candles." Obviously, that kind of came off as a little strange so as I spoke to her, I gently eased in that we probably wouldn’t be coming back for a while, to convey that we wouldn’t be lighting them all at once. I didn’t want her thinking that we were some sort of cult or anything!

After a big party with a lot of hardcore volley ball, all you need is a relaxing drive through montana to settle your spirits.

How To Kill Your TV

This video is just a few short clips from this movie I did with Jesse called "Testing the Dreams." We uploaded some of the footage onto Matt’s computer to show him what we had so far...

and spawned from Matt's boredom came this, an epic tale of one man seeking his way in life as one thing stands in his way from reaching Ultimate Nirvana.

News Today

In other new, today Miranda found out that Jessica has been having lunch with her boyfriend once a week for the past year. Heat rose as Miranda called out Jessica on her disloyalty and began to make a B line at her. Jessica backed up slowly into what witnesses say was a large brick wall that some people call “Jim’s Diner.” News of the fight was heard in Africa and Portugal. Miranda and Jessica ended up shaking hands and eating together at Jim’s. This information was intercepted by one of our men secretly working at cbs nightly news to get the next big story out before anybody else did.
We fired him this morning.

Wake Boarding

I went wake boarding for the first time the other day! It was pretty much one of the more frustrating things I’ve done in my life. Every time you don’t succeed, you’re lying in the water, basting in your failed attempts, waiting for the boat to circle back around just to rip your arms out of your sockets once again. After about the 5th time of my botched attempts, I decided that this was my time. I would stand on that board and no water could stop me. I would rise victoriously among the water as my board scraped its face, making it wish it had never messed with Joshua Thomas Rickett. I fell again. Everything I had thought flew out the window. So I just decided that some time that day I would succeed.
After settling and just relaxing, the boat took off and I stood up so naturally and felt the joy and ecstasy stepping onto liquid. After a few seconds of being on the surface of the water, being tossed from side to side by the wakes, I realized that I didn’t want to wake board! The next time we went, I discovered that it was the boat that I was being dragged by that gave me that feeling.
I’ve gone 3 times now, fruitfully standing, carving and hitting a few wakes to get a few feet in the air. Needless to say, I’ve also hit the water like an apple thrown down the side of the empire state building by Sir Isaac Newton. But I hear that what ever doesn’t kill me, makes me stronger. I don’t believe this statement 3 times out of 10.

Harry Potter

Me and some friends went to see the new Harry Potter movie the other day. I enjoyed it! Good things happened and bad things too, just like every other movie... Anyway, after it ended we went back to Devans house and I texted Matt...

"So I just finished watching the new Harry potter movie. It made of want to experience love in a way I never have before."

Even though I meant to write "It made 'me' want to experience love..." that’s not the point. The point is that it made Matt uncomfortable to know that I want a magical love some day! haha! I don’t even really know what that means to have a “magic love!” I don’t really want to float around or turn ducks into witches. Other than that, there’s really no point to any of this.
Thanks for reading anyway.

Kill the Music

Every Time I Die

Theres really no point to this.
It's Just a video/song I like alot!

Fresh Life

My Step Brother started a church up in Kalispell Montana called Fresh Life Church. I’ve gone and helped out at a few services now, either by handing out activity sheets to little ones, or going to target for more grape juice (everybody knows you can’t have a church without grape juice.) The church in Kalispell is also 1 of 2 pod casting places in the state, aside from the national park! Anyway, this church is growing so rapidly, it’s such a cool thing to see God working in this small town. Both Sundays that I’ve gone have been completely packed and they had to pull out more chairs and the mid week nights a pretty full too.
And incase you were curious, “fresh life church is Christian fellowship where we gather for the purpose of knowing and glorifying Jesus Christ.”
